Patna, July 24 -- Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Bhai Virendra on Thursday refused to apologise over the remarks he made during a discussion in the Assembly on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list.

The Bihar legislative assembly witnessed a heated exchange during the monsoon session when RJD MLA Bhai Virendra made a statement that was deemed objectionable by some members of the House on Wednesday.

Speaking to ANI, Bhair Virendra said, "Apologise to whom? To those who do Gunda Raaj? Some people in the Assembly want to suppress the voice of Dalits, minorities, and backwards classes. We will not let this happen. I belong to Maner, and people there are always ready to fight. I will never apologise for my statement."
