Agra, June 22 -- Amid the escalating Iran-Israel conflict, senior Congress leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday said the entire country wants peace, harmony, love and affection in the world.

His remarks came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian over the situation.

Speaking to reporters, Gehlot said, "...The whole country wants peace and harmony, love, and affection in the world. Rahul Gandhi's slogan is also the same: there should be politics of love in the whole country. We are in favour of this; there should be peace..."
