Hapur, April 19 -- BJP MP Arun Govil expressed concern on Saturday over the recent violence in Murshidabad related to the Waqf Amendment Act, stating that the West Bengal government must ensure such incidents do not recur.

Speaking to ANI, Govil alleged that there are claims suggesting the involvement of the state government itself, which he warned is harmful for the nation.

"West Bengal government should see that such an incident (Murshidabad violence) shouldn't happen. However, it is also alleged that the West Bengal government itself is involved in such activities, which is not beneficial for the country.
