Lucknow, April 20 -- Congress leader PL Punia on Sunday lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey over the latter's remarks on the Supreme Court amid the ongoing controversy regarding the recently passed Waqf Amendment Act, saying that it was a "well-thought strategy" of the ruling party to pressure the Chief Justice of India (CJI) and the judiciary.

"Nishikant Dubey's statement is a well-thought-out strategy... When the Chief Justice and his bench asked tricky questions as per the Constitution, the BJP people got scared and are now trying to put pressure on the Chief Justice and the judiciary," Punia said.
