New Delhi, March 29 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday hailed the success of security forces in a major anti-Naxal operation in Sukma, Chhattisgarh, where 16 Naxalites were neutralised and a significant cache of automatic weapons recovered.

Terming it another decisive blow to Naxalism, Shah reaffirmed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government's commitment to eradicating Naxalism by March 31, 2026.

"Another strike on Naxalism! Our security agencies have neutralised 16 Naxalites and recovered a massive cache of automatic weapons in an operation in Sukma. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, we are resolved to eradicate Naxalism before the 31st of March 2026," Shah posted on X.
