Pune, March 23 -- Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan on Sunday highlighted sustainable farming and the benefits of 'Shetkaris'(farmers) throughout Maharashtra.

He shared that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been asking him to expand his work throughout the state for the past many years, but he couldn't do it as Maharashtra is a "very big state".

While speaking to the media at an event of Paani Foundation, he said, "Devendra ji has been telling us for the last nine years that we should work in the whole of Maharashtra and we had the same desire in our minds, but Maharashtra is a very big state.
