Jhunjhunu, July 22 -- Locals at Jagdeep Dhankar's native village of Kithana in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu have expressed "shock" over his decision to step down from the post of Vice President.
Jagdeep Dhankar's relative and Kithana resident, Harendra Dhankhar, told ANI, "We were deeply shocked to hear the news of his resignation. It is also true that he underwent an angioplasty in March. When he went to Uttarakhand last month, his health deteriorated there too."
He added that Dhankar has provided financial support to schools and cowsheds in the village.
