Ernakulam, Jan. 3 -- Congress MP from Ernakulam Hibi Eden on Friday hailed the CBI court's verdict in the Periya double murder case, which sentenced 10 accused to double life imprisonment while acknowledging the dissatisfaction of the victims' families.

The Congress MP told ANI, "Today was the most important verdict by the Ernakulam CBI court in the Periya double murder case where two youth Congress activists were murdered by CPIM and with the help of the government. We welcome the sentence where 10 of the main culprits have been given a double life sentence."
