Amritsar, May 19 -- In the aftermath of conflict between India and Pakistan, the locals in Amritsar and nearby villages stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the armed forces, who they say dedicated all efforts to protect religious sites in the border areas, including the Golden Temple.
An elderly local from a village in Amritsar said that the residents were assisting the armed forces to the best of their abilities and stood with them since they protected the entire city and civilian lives from air assault by Pakistan during the conflict.
