Guwahati, Oct. 28 -- The Leader of Opposition in Assam Assembly and Congress leader Debabrata Saikia said that the stark difference in the statements between Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Singapore over Assamese singer Zubeen Garg's death raises a question as to whose remarks the public can trust.

"The Singapore police have said that there is no foul play. But the Chief Minister is claiming that he was murdered. We should trust whom?" Saikia told ANI.

Zubeen Garg died in Singapore on September 19, allegedly while swimming, a day before he was scheduled to perform at the Northeast India Festival.
