Srinagar, May 24 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday urged citizens to reject extremism and work toward peace and unity, while addressing a gathering at the foundation laying ceremony of the guesthouse at Dargah Hazratbal here.

"Today, I want to say two things to you--and I urge you not just to think about those thoughts, but to act on them," Sinha said.

"First, I believe there is a solution: we must free our people from the influence of extremist and disruptive elements. Without peace, nothing is possible. Second, the developmental needs of the people must be addressed by accelerating key projects," he said.
