Karnal, Dec. 28 -- Haryana prisons are undergoing reforms with vocational training, open-air jails, and educational initiatives. The Haryana Director General of Prisons stated that gangster culture in prisons has been effectively curbed.

Director General of Prisons, Haryana, Alok Kumar Roy, stated that gangster culture, which was perviosly glamourised, has been controlled.

He noted that there haven't been any complaints about the mobile phone confiscation and ransom calls, which had become a norm before.

"We controlled gangster activities very efficiently. There were no complaints about the confiscation of mobile phones or ransom calls from jail", he said.
