New Delhi, Jan. 14 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday paid tribute to veterans on the 10th Armed Forces Veterans' Day, saying the nation bows in respect to soldiers in India and around the world, and honours those who sacrificed their lives.
Addressing the 10th Armed Forces Veterans' Day at Manekshaw Centre in the national capital, Singh called veterans a symbol of national pride and an inspiration for future generations.
"On the occasion of Veterans Day, we bow our heads in respect to our veterans living in India and around the world. Our tribute also goes to the soldiers who attained martyrdom and to the grateful nation. Today, I have the opportunity to celebrate Makar Sankranti with this larger family," Singh said.
