New Delhi, May 5 -- BJP MLA Satish Upadhyay on Sunday said that the party has instructed all its MLAs to intensify their outreach efforts by taking key government schemes directly to the people.

Speaking on education reforms, Upadhyay said, "There is a bill regarding the uncontrolled fee hikes in Delhi schools. We are not against the schools, but we want to help parents."

He stressed that the objective is to strike a balance between institutional autonomy and parental affordability.

After the Delhi cabinet has approved the School Fee Act, aimed at regulating fee increases in all private schools across the city, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the Act will bring transparency to the fee structure of 1,677 private schools.
