Washington, July 21 -- The US State Department's Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) has expressed condolences over the tragic crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft in Uttara.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic crash of the Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft in Uttara. Our thoughts are with those injured and the families who lost their loved ones during this difficult time," the Bureau said in a post on X.

The message of condolence came after at least 20 people died and 171 more were injured when a Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashed into an educational institute on Monday in Dhaka's Diabari area, the Daily Star reported.
