New Delhi, July 11 -- Director of 'Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder', Bharat S Shrinate on Friday said that he was shocked by the High Court's order to halt the release of the film, which was scheduled to hit theatres today.

Shrinate told ANI that he was not "expecting" the Delhi High Court to order a stay on the release of the film.

"I was not expecting such a decision because just a day before the petition (in Delhi HC), the petitioner filed a petition in the SC and it was denied. So, in the High Court, I don't know how it happened," said Shrinate.

The director further stated that they will move the Supreme Court to request the removal of a stay order for the film.
