New Delhi, Jan. 15 -- Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen booked his place in the quarter-finals of the India Open 2026 with a straight-game win over Japan's Kenta Nishimoto in New Delhi on Thursday.

After his 21-19, 21-10 victory, Lakshya reflected on his approach during the match, saying he focused on taking the game one point at a time.

"I was just trying to focus on one point at a time. I think I didn't get the rhythm in the beginning but towards the end, I was feeling good on Court and also after 11 points, I changed the tactics a little bit. So, I was just trying to play the basics, I started lifting back and tried to defend more. He was playing really solid and I had to stick in to get points and there was no points coming from his side....
