New Delhi, April 1 -- BJP MP Ravi Kishan has voiced support for the Waqf Amendment Bill saying that the Waqf Bill is for the benefit of poor Muslims and various works will be done for them.

"The Waqf Bill is for the benefit of poor Muslims...Schools and colleges will be built for them, and various works will be done for them. This bill is being brought for poor Muslims..." Kishan told ANI.

BJP MP Kiran Choudhry hit back at the Congress for criticising the Waqf Amendment Bill and said that they (Congress) found everything 'unconstitutional'.

The BJP MP further stated that through the Waqf bill, things would get streamlined and benefit the needy.
