Hyderabad, June 8 -- Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha said that the death of BRS MLA from Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills, Maganti Gopinath, who passed away following a heart attack on June 8, is "very painful" and assured to stand by his family.

"The unfortunate death of Maganti is very painful. BRS party stands by his family," Kavitha told ANI.

Meanwhile, she hit out at the Revanth Reddy government in Telangana, accusing it of "oppressing" BRS cadres by framing them in false cases.

"We also stand by our cadres because the current Congress government is oppressing our cadres and trying to put false cases on them. We will continue to fight for justice for our cadre," Kavitha said.
