Bhopal, June 3 -- Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari on Tuesday praised the warm reception received by Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi in Bhopal, calling him the "hero of caste census." He credited Rahul Gandhi for compelling Prime Minister Narendra Modi to agree to the demand for conducting a caste-based census.

"The way the citizens of Madhya Pradesh welcomed the hero of the caste census on the streets of Bhopal was unprecedented. I am proud of my leader who made (PM) Narendra Modi bow down that the caste census will happen," Patwari told ANI.
