Nagpur, Sept. 19 -- NCP MP Sunil Tatkare on Friday called Congress Overseas Chief Sam Pitroda's recent remarks about Pakistan "unfortunate" and "sad for India."

Speaking to ANI, Sunil Tatkare said, "It is sad for India. He also grew up in India and achieved his status in India... It is unfortunate..."

Sam Pitroda reportedly said in a media statement that he had been to Pakistan and "felt at home".

Earlier in the day, Tatkare also criticised Rahul Gandhi for the vote theft allegations made.

Tatkare dismissed Gandhi's statements as "childish" and claimed that the leader of the opposition lacks understanding of how election booths operate.
