Agartala, May 3 -- Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday lauded the Panchayati Raj system in the state and said that Tripura Panchayats are working very well in all kinds of parameters.

"The way Panchayati Raj system is working in Tripura is laudable. We got 7 prizes in the entire nation... Prime Minister recognises that the rural development is necessary for national development. Given the development happening in Tripura, there is an increase in the number of Self-Help Groups... Tripura Panchayats are working very well in all kinds of parameters," CM Saha told ANI.
