New Delhi, Oct. 6 -- Bharatiya Janata Party MP Praveen Khandelwal on Monday condoled the loss of lives in the Jaipur hospital fire incident, mentioning that the state government has taken immediate cognisance of the matter and demanded an investigation into the incident.

"This is very sad. My condolences to the families of the deceased. The state government should take immediate cognisance of this and the matter should be investigated. Whoever is guilty should be punished severely," Khandelwal told ANI.

A fire broke out at the ICU of a trauma centre at SMS Hospital in Jaipur late Sunday night. Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph confirmed six deceased after the tragic accident.
