Mumbai, Jan. 30 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief leader Eknath Shinde on Thursday criticised opposition MPs for their stance against the Waqf Bill at the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and called it a display of "double standards."
Shinde asserted that his government is committed to upholding the legacy of Balasaheb Thackeray and ensuring its continuity.
"This is double standards. We are working to take forward the legacy and role of Balasaheb Thackeray. We are working to move forward to keep it intact. Those who follow some other role, people have shown a place to them in the elections," Shinde told ANI.
