New Delhi, Feb. 1 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President Baijayant Jay Panda on Saturday reacted to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal's statement on all welfare schemes being halted if the BJP continued to remain in power.

Speaking to ANI, Panda said "This is desperation... because the people this time have made up their mind to not give him (Kejriwal) any votes. PM Modi has clarified that no welfare schemes will be stopped. His lies won't be of any use..."

On Saturday, Kejriwal appealed to BJP supporters to vote for AAP in the upcoming Delhi assembly election to continue benefiting from the welfare schemes introduced by his government.
