Chandigarh, April 15 -- Senior advocate Vivek Tankha, representing Leader of Opposition in Punjab and Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa, has said that the case registered against Bajwa is "a political vendetta" by the ruling AAP-led Punjab government.

Speaking exclusively to ANI, Tankha said, "This case is a case of a political vendetta. He had given a warning to the government from his side that the law and order situation in Punjab was bad...A case has been registered against him that he has incited people through this statement..."

Tankha confirmed that a petition has been filed before the court challenging the case. " We filed a petition before the court...The Court has ordered to list the matter tomorrow morning..." he added.
