Dahod, May 26 -- Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, on Monday, hailed the inauguration of the modern locomotive manufacturing plant in Dahod, Gujarat, describing it as a transformative moment that will redefine the city's global identity.

According to Vaishnav, the plant will produce 9,000-horsepower electric locomotives named "D Nine", symbolising Dahod's resurgence as a railway production hub, capable of not only serving India's network but also exporting worldwide.
