Jaipur, Feb. 25 -- Rajasthan Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has criticized the ruling BJP for the suspension of six Congress MLAs in the state assembly.

Gehlot claimed that the BJP's actions were designed to stifle discussion and avoid accountability.

"The public is seeing who is the one making the mistakes. It is the responsibility of the ruling side to take the opposition along and run the House well. They (BJP) don't want any discussion in the House as they are not able to give any answers," Gehlot said, condemning the suspension of Congress members from the assembly.

Meanwhile, Congress MLAs in Rajasthan staged protests in the Assembly after six of their members were suspended.
