Pune, Nov. 30 -- Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi on Sunday expressed optimism about Bangladesh's future, describing the current situation as a "temporary and transitory moment".
Tripathi chose to maintain a cautious stance. Amidst the ongoing turmoil in Bangladesh, he emphasised India's commitment to its friendly ties with the neighbouring nation.
Speaking in Pune, Admiral Tripathi said, "I would still refrain from calling Bangladesh anything other than a friend because this could be only a temporary and transitory moment. We'll have to wait; elections have to happen, and then something else can happen..."
