Srinagar, April 24 -- Jammu and Kashmir's Janata Dal United (JDU) President GM Shaheen on Thursday emphasised the importance of national unity in the fight against terrorism, following the recent Pahalgam terror attack. He said that all political parties coming together and speaking with one voice against terrorism is a significant development for the region.

He praised the people of Jammu and Kashmir for speaking out against terrorism, stating that if this had happened 35 years ago, it might have prevented the rise of terrorism in the region. He added that support from the entire country is needed to fight against terrorism.
