New Delhi, March 9 -- Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, congratulated Team India after they defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the final to clinch the third ICC Champions Trophy title.

India shared one with Sri Lanka in 2002, secured the second under 'Captain Cool' MS Dhoni in 2013, and finally, the 2025 trophy under Rohit Sharma.

"Smashing victory, boys! Each one of you has made a billion hearts swell with pride #TeamIndia's phenomenal run in the tournament, marked by brilliant individual performances and sheer dominance on the field, has been truly inspiring. Congratulations, Champions!," Rahul Gandhi posted on X.
