Mumbai, July 9 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Tuesday demanded strict action against Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad, after a video showed him allegedly assaulting a "poor helpless" canteen worker over poor quality of food.

Speaking to the media, Thackeray said that Gaikwad should be suspended as it was an obscene scene where he was wearing a vest and a towel.

"He came out wearing a vest and a towel. First of all, he should be suspended as it is an obscene scene. Secondly, you are an MLA; you can raise this (poor food quality) issue in the House, your thief party is in power. So if they are not listening to you, what do people expect from you?" he said.
