New Delhi, July 22 -- Congress MP Syed Naseer Hussain on Tuesday expressed shock over the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, calling for transparency regarding the circumstances that led to the development.

Speaking to ANI, Hussain said, "Whether he has resigned on his own or has been forced to resign, this should come out in the public. This is shocking for us because till yesterday he was involved in all the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha... No one is safe here."

MDMK MP Durai Vaiko also expressed surprise over his Vice President Dhankhar's resignation, however, he also wished him a good health.

"It has come as a surprise. He has cited health reasons. I wish him good health," Vaiko told ANI.
