New Delhi, March 12 -- JD(U) National Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha on Wednesday slammed RJD leader Rabri Devi over her statement on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and claimed that the latter has done "unprecedented work for the welfare of women"

"She knows what the result of the elections is going to be. She is speaking out of frustration. Nitish Kumar is tirelessly working for Bihar... Nitish Kumar has done unprecedented work for the welfare of women. Women are his biggest supporters... He put a ban on alcohol on the request of women...," Jha told ANI.

He also said that Nitish Kumar respects women. "Nitish Kumar holds women in high respect and has worked for them, and there are very few leaders in the country who have done so....
