Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 25 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said that the Kerala State Film Awards and the JC Daniel Award, the highest cinematic honour of the state government, continue to play a crucial role in recognising artistic excellence and nurturing the creative growth of Malayalam cinema.

"The 2024 Kerala State Film Awards and the JC Daniel Award, the highest cinematic honour of the Kerala government, are being presented on this platform today. Awards are being conferred on actors and technical artists who have excelled across 35 categories in cinema," said Vijayan.
