Mumbai, Oct. 27 -- Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Monday said that the Central Government aims to provide at least 200 deep-sea trawlers to fishermen across coastal states within the next five years.

He said trawlers will be able to stay at sea for 25 days and transport up to 20 tonnes of fish.

Addressing the inauguration of the fourth India Maritime Week-2025 in Mumbai, Amit Shah said, "... I have also spoken with the Chief Ministers of Odisha, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
