New Delhi, July 3 -- Medical experts have rejected allegations that COVID-19 vaccines are responsible for a recent spike in heart attack-related deaths, following comments made by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah regarding over twenty such deaths in Hassan district.

Speaking to ANI, Dr Mohit Gupta, Professor of Cardiology, GB Pant Hospital, said that findings from a study conducted on 1,600 heart attack patients showed a protective benefit of the COVID-19 vaccines.
