Kannauj, July 25 -- Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav on Friday launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government, accusing it of stalling development in Kannauj and undermining institutions of key like education and health.

Addressing the gathering, Yadav said, "Kannauj and its development will happen on a large scale in the coming times. For nine years, the Bharatiya Janata Party has been pushing back the development of Kannauj. It may have done some work just for name's sake. But the basic work that had started in Kannauj has been stopped by the Bharatiya Janata Party government."
