Muzaffarnagar, June 11 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that Sadguru Ravidas Ji Maharaj emerged as a became a ray of light in the medieval period, when the country's religion and culture were under severe threat from foreign invaders.

The Chief Minister said that while India struggled under the shackles of slavery in the medieval era, Sadguru Ravidas Ji stood firm as a symbol of spiritual strength and cultural resilience.

"In that period, when foreign forces were systematically trying to destroy our heritage, Sadguru Ravidas Ji Maharaj became a ray of light," he said.
