New Delhi, June 4 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice president and Congress MP Rajeev Shukla believes the ruling party, Congress, "should not be blamed" for the stampede that broke out outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL winning celebrations on Wednesday.

After the stampede incident, Karnataka Legislative Council member, BK Hariprasad, said that 11 people, including a woman, died in the stampede during the event.
