New Delhi, April 20 -- Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva on Sunday extended his support for the 'One Nation, One Election' proposal, stating that frequent elections across the country "hinder development" and waste public resources.

"'One Nation, One Election' is the need for the nation... because repeated elections in the country hinder development. Each year, there are elections somewhere or the other and the electoral procedure goes on which wastes money and time," Sachdeva said while addressing the media in Delhi.

He highlighted the scale of deployment during the ongoing general elections, hampering the work.
