New Delhi, Aug. 3 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Saturday responded to questions regarding the life imprisonment sentence given to expelled Janta Dal (Secular) leader and former Lok Sabha MP Prajwal Revanna in a rape case, stating that it should be the leaders of his own party and their allies who should be questioned on this matter.

The Deputy CM emphasised that commenting on the issue could turn it into a political controversy and that it should be his party's leadership to say what is "what is right and what is wrong."

"If we talk about Prajwal Revanna's life sentence, it will become political. Therefore, it is very important for JDS-BJP leaders to respond," Shivakumar said.
