New Delhi, Aug. 20 -- Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday lashed out at the Opposition over its "condemnable" behaviour in Parliament over the bill to remove the prime minister, chief minister, and accused the Congress of seeking to keep its leaders above the law. "Does the opposition, especially the Congress party, want its leaders to remain above the law even after going to jail?" he asked.
The 130th Constitution Amendment Bill seeks to remove the Prime Minister or Chief Ministers who are facing allegations of corruption or serious offences and have been detained for 30 consecutive days.
He said the bill introduced will bring transparency and alleged that the Opposition aims to spread anarchy.
