New Delhi, Oct. 30 -- Congress leader Rashid Alvi on Thursday defended Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks on the Yamuna River in Delhi, asserting that the Congress leader did not disrespect Chhath Puja.
Alvi highlighted that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have repeatedly claimed to have cleaned the Yamuna in the national capital, but added that such claims could only be credible if BJP leaders themselves drank the river's water.
