New Delhi, July 21 -- After Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed Operation Sindoor as a 'Vijay Utsav', Congress MP KC Venugopal demanded a discussion on the issue in Parliament, saying that the Prime Minister should come and make a statement.

Speaking to reporters, Congress MP KC Venugopal said, "Our demand is that there should be a discussion, this is an important issue. We are proud of our country. The Prime Minister should come and make a statement."

Echoing similar sentiments, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MP Mahua Maji raised concerns over United States President Donald Trump's repeated claims of brokering peace between India and Pakistan.
