Mumbai, May 6 -- After the Supreme Court directed the Maharashtra Election Commission to notify local body elections in the State within four weeks, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday said that the party is prepared to face all types of situations.

"Supreme Court order has come that within 4 months, local body elections need to be conducted (in Maharashtra). We have been demanding this again and again...it will be rainy season and also festive season...we are prepared to face all types of situations," Sanjay Raut told reporters.

Earlier today, a bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh also directed that an endeavour shall be made by the state election commission to conclude the elections within four months.
