New Delhi, Dec. 4 -- Congress general secretary KC Venugopal on Thursday hit out at the Centre after it withdrew its proposal to make the Sanchar Saathi app compulsory on all mobile phones. He called it another example of what he described as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "flip governance," where policies are announced and then quickly rolled back under political pressure.

Venugopal said this is similar to the farm laws, lateral entry proposals and the recent move to appoint a full-time LG in Chandigarh.

A day earlier, the Ministry of Communications revoked the mandatory pre-installation of the Sanchar Saathi app on mobile handsets imported or manufactured in India, days after proposing to mandate it.
