New Delhi, Feb. 1 -- Union Minister Ramdas Athawle on Saturday sharply criticised the opposition's statements on the Union budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, stating that their perspective is "useless." He asserted that the budget had taken into account all sections of society and would serve to boost the economy.

Speaking to ANI, Athawale said "The opposition says that the budget is useless, but their perspective is only useless... this budget will boost the economy, all sections have been considered in this budget..."

He further added that states like Bihar and Maharashtra would benefit from the provisions included in the budget.
