Hyderabad, Sept. 30 -- VC Sajjanar on Tuesday formally assumed charge as the new Commissioner of Police (CP), Hyderabad City. He arrived at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Banjara Hills and took charge amid interfaith prayers.

Addressing the media later, Hyderabad CP Sajjanar said that "People welfare policing" will be the top priority in the city. He said this new approach would go a long way in ensuring the safety and well-being of Hyderabad citizens.
