Patna, Sept. 3 -- Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin on Wednesday condemned the derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, stating that the people of Bihar felt deeply hurt and ashamed over the comments.

Speaking to ANI, the minister said the statement not only insulted the Prime Minister but also hurt the sentiments of the people of Bihar.

"PM Modi has a connection with the people of the country. He has served them like a 'sevak'. He has increased the respect for women in the country. Be it the construction of 'Izzat Ghar' or Ujjwala Yojana or PM Awas Yojana, he has honoured women with everything. Women in the country consider him their 'sevak', their brother," Nabin said.
